THE GOOD - A trio of strong performances from Austin Butler, Tom Hardy and especially Jodie Comer. Nichols’ command over time and place evokes a vibe that is alluring.

THE BAD - Many of the supporting characters aren’t given nearly as much to do. The screenplay feels uneven and one can’t help but be reminded of other filmmakers who have told similar stories more effectively.

THE OSCAR PROSPECTS - Best Actress

The Bikeriders is Jeff Nichols love letter to 60s-70s motorcycle culture. It is well-shot but the story did very little to engage me. Jodie Comer delivers the film’s best performance. Austin Butler looks the part but doesn’t really act. Tom Hardy is Tom Hardy. #TheBikeriders
